Mother's Day has always been that kind of day when anything could happen. When they were young, the children would lay their precious offerings before me with bright expectant looks on their little faces. Sometimes a quickly crafted card with a drawing of "Mom" or of us together. Sometimes a little plant sprout that teacher had helped to pot at school. Oh, yea, to fart." Yes, it's come to that.
